In February 2023, I kicked off a fundraising campaign to raise funds for my friend’s daughter to secure an assistance dog for her.
Ella is 15 and autistic with extreme anxiety. The things most teenagers take for granted – meeting friends, going shopping, going on trips – are completely beyond Ella’s capabilities.
That is, until assistance Dog, Milo, came along. He’s still a puppy and in training. But he has visited Ella during this time, and the difference is amazing.

If you can spare any money, I know the family would be thrilled.
My reasons for carrying out this campaign was to pay back to Ella’s mother, who helped me through my menopause journey. It was my way of “paying it forward”.
